The courses are designed to encompass practical and theoretical skills needed by the students in Accounting, Economics, Business and Financial Literacy. We try to make classes enjoyable and challenging for students of all skill levels and we hope that students are able to apply the skills learnt as they take their place in the wider community.

Year 9 and 10 Financial Literacy
This course raises awareness and provides practical opportunities for students to take part in financial decision making. It enables students to gain some of the basic skills needed to manage their personal finances now and in the future and allows students to consider a range of financial options and make best choices for their personal circumstances.

Year 10 Economics
Students develop an understanding of their role in the economy and of how economic decisions affect individuals and communities. They understand how, as a result of scarcity, consumers, producers and government make choices that affect New Zealand society.
Year 10 Accounting, Business and Enterprise

Student are given the opportunity to learn basic accounting, business and enterprise skills and then apply these in a practical way by running their own enterprise.

Accounting: Year 11-Year 13 (including scholarship)
Accounting is designed to develop students' understanding of the role of accounting in society as a  financial language for individuals, community organisations and businesses.

Economics: Year 11 – Year 13 (including scholarship)
Students learn about the ways in which people participate in economic activities and about the consumption, production and distribution of goods and services. They develop an understanding of their role in the economy and of how economic decisions affect individuals and communities. They understand how, as a result of scarcity, consumers, producers and government make choices that affect New Zealand society.

Business Studies: Year 12 – Year 13
This course develops students’ understanding of business concepts and the roles that individuals assume in small businesses. Business skills such as management and leadership skills, marketing, entrepreneurship, financial management and communication are developed though actually running an enterprise project company.

Legal Studies: Year 12 – Year 13
This course aims to teach students about areas and issues of law relevant to them and where to seek legal advice.
